Ha! Well that was a nugget of information she was not expecting, that was for sure. She managed to stifle a chuckle at the matter of fact way he stated that he went commando.

"I can probably transfigure you some when I get my wand back, if there isn't some kind of magic on them to stop it from working. I had to learn a lot about making clothes where I was and an old room-mate of mine was a stitch witch and she taught me a lot about fabrics, too."

Cloud's just full of odd nuggets of information. Luckily most people never hang around long enough to hear them.

He also only followed about half of what she said. Which was to say, about the usual for him when he was in long conversations with anyone. He did think that he'd picked up on an offer to help him get pants.

"Yeah." After a beat. "Thanks." Eyebrows down, another long pause and then, as if it was important, he looked over at the girl next to him and asked seriously

"What do you usually wear?"

"No problem," she was happy to help where she could.

"Uh, robes, usually. I got in to the habit of wearing saris at the last place, though."

robes made sense on a magic user, he guessed. At least that means she was used to swishy clothes. Cloud determinedly refused to tug on the hem of his own skirt and scowled instead. Still -

"What's a sari?"

"It is a kind of wrap-around dress that the women wore in the last place I found myself," she told him "A little like this, but styled differently."

"Hn."

there's the vague mental image of a towel somewhere in his head but he really isn't going to pursue that line of thought, much less vocalize it. Cloud's a big believer in letting people think he's more aware than he knows he really is and the best way to do that is to keep his mouth shut most of the time. After a minute though, his head turns and he looks at her, eyebrows down low.

"Found yourself. Last place. This isn't the first time you've ended up somewhere that isn't home?"
